UltimateJuice promo sale!

Tomorrow I'll be releasing JuiceDefender/UltimateJuice v1.0 temporarily-out-of-beta-edition.

For the occasion, UltimateJuice will be on sale at the promotional price of 0.99€ for the weekend - make sure to grab it on time!

(the exact times are yet to be disclosed, but an anonymous source says the promo will last "from when I publish the update on Saturday to when I change the price again on Sunday - times are in Central European Time")

For those of you who are beta aficionados: don't worry, next week I'll start working on some new, radically useful features. Back to beta business as usual!

An even better reason to celebrate is that Sunday or Monday will hopefully see the last snow of the season in Venice - it's so incredibly romantic that I'll be walking around watching chick flicks on my Magic in tears hand-in-hand with my girlfriend (that's the backup plan given that OpenEclair doesn't yet support video as of v1.2.2).

Hello, can you tell me for sure if AndAppStore works for Brazilian users? I have been using JuiceDefender for the past week, and I must say I am very, very happy with the results, and would like to go pro with UltimateJuice (specially now with this weekend promo) to take advantage of AutoWifi, but paid apps are not available on the Android Market on my country, and I would like to be sure I will be able to get the app before making the purchase. And if it works, how will updates work?

Keep up with the amazing work. Nice to see an Android app that not only works beautifully, but is also quite beautiful itself (an exception on Android, sadly).

Cheers.

@DivinoAG: yes, andappstore works everywhere - with updates, too (though I push updates there less frequently). By the way you've single-handedly made me extend the promo sale there too - I didn't think of it, but it's the fair thing to do!
I'm very glad you appreciate my modest aesthetic efforts - thanks!

I just took advantage of your promo sale... I think. I purchased the app through AndAppStore, but cannot retrieve it. I have installed the AndAppStore client, and input my login information (used same email address for both AndAppStore account and Paypal). However, nothing shows up in the client software. I have refreshed several times, but no go. I can give you the Paypal transaction ID, is there any other way to get the app?

Never mind... I got it. I had to completely uninstall the AndAppStore client and reinstall. Thanks.

I just had to kill the app and re-open it before anything showed up. But yes, refreshing doesn't seem to work at all.

But no matter. Everything is up and running. Thanks a lot for extending the promo on AndAppStore.

oops :(
I've been searching for this since morning and I couldn't find it on android market. By the time I realized I had to buy it from andappstore because I'm in India, I think the promo has been over. Too bad :(

Hi, I did buy the Ultimate version on Friday, just before the special Promo Sale (so 2.79€ instead of 0.99€). I would say bad luck. However, today I flashed my Milestone from android version 2.01 to 2.1 and wanted to reinstall the Ultimate version again..... but it does not work. I get a very short message which I can't read while connecting to the market place (I used the Get Ultimate button in Juice Defender), after which it turns black and somewhat later returns to Juice Defender.

I can't find it manually on the market place as well. So, can somebody help me out here?

Buy it to support your work !
And for Wifi feature :)

@Ken or Paula, DivinoAG, Albert: Yeah, andappstore and Google are head-to-head in a heated race for who makes the worst functioning market. Perhaps andappstore has a slight advantage - at least Google doesn't let me do *anything* about any possible problem. I guess that's a relief :) (andappstore is quite happy to divert every single problem and hiccup to the developer)

Albert: the error you get from clicking the Get Ultimate button is indeed caused by the Market app when it can't find the app. Do you notice any other missing apps? Has anyone else experienced the problem? (apps missing after ROM upgrade)

@Joanna et Matthieu: merci beaucoup! Et la prochaine mise a jour aura autres fonctionnalites (thanks, dictionary) utiles! (I lived in Brussels for a good while - one could never tell from my insultingly bad French!)

@Lowne
Yes, I'm also missing other apps as I noticed today. I expect this to be caused by the new firmware build I used to flash my phone. It likely does not allow me to see all apps on the market place for some reason..... will have to find out what can be done about that .. besides switching back to the previous version :o(
